SIAMS 2026: A successful edition for Willemin-Macodel

We were pleased to take part in SIAMS 2026, held from April 21 to 24 in Moutier.

This edition was a real success and a great opportunity for us to showcase our two new machining centers, reflecting our ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance and technology.

808S2 machining center – unveiled as a world premiere, it generated outstanding interest. This machine embodies the ultra-compact synergy of simultaneous 5-axis machining and turning, integrating all Willemin-Macodel expertise into a footprint of less than 1.4 m^². Equipped with cooled linear motors and a brand-new in-house developed motor spindle, it enables milling up to 60,000 rpm as well as high-speed turning. It also features a modular magazine with up to 137 positions, capable of storing tools, parts, and pallets.

701S2 machining center – based on a 3-axis delta parallel kinematics, has evolved both technically and aesthetically. Control and CNC systems have been further enhanced, and energy consumption has been reduced even further, achieving up to 30% savings. This was also the opportunity to present our new RCX-100U collaborative robot, adaptable to all our machine series and offering significant productivity gains.

As a key event for subcontracting, SIAMS remains a showcase of excellence for the entire region. We are proud to participate in every edition, reflecting both our commitment to this event and our strong regional roots.
